Very sad backstory for a moment I thought she wanted to die with liao till we got a explanation on her ability maybe death is actually what she wants.

There's actually parallels between Chen Duo and Feng Baobao, Liao and Zhang Chulan.

But there are some differences too. Liao is in position of power, he thinks he knows what Chen Duo wants and wanted to help her. He had good intentions, he never noticed but he never tried to understand her, never tried to speak to her properly.

The situation between MC Zhang Chulan and Feng Baobao in the 1st two seasons on the other hand was completely opposite. Zhang Chulan wanted to understand what the F**k is going on! He is ready to listen to her 100% of the time, issue is Feng Baobao who doesn't know how to speak to him.

It was after Xu San and Xu Si (Feng Baobao's supervisor) speak to Zhang Chulan properly, then he understands what's going on. He immediately get to the point. He learns what Feng Baobao wants and give it to her.

Which leads to them in the Biyou Village in Season 4 and 5.
